Encounters between chefs, producers and gourmets
In keeping with the Provençal market atmosphere, the idea of the Esprit Village association of Saint-Tropez merchants, in partnership with Turquoise Events, was to bring together the producers, breeders, market gardeners, fishermen, olive growers, winegrowers and other artisans of our beautiful Provençal region and the chefs of the area’s restaurants, including the Isoletta of the Bastide de Saint-Tropez. Building on the success of its first two editions, the event returns for three days of interaction and tastings, from May 6th to 8th, 2023.
An exciting and delicious programme
Under the aegis of the prestigious sponsor of the 2023 edition, Gérald Passédat, three-starred chef of the Petit Nice in Marseille, The Chefs of Saint-Tropez Celebrate Producers event will offer a market plentifully supplied with the region’s superb fruits, vegetables, olive oil, fish, wine, and other fine produce. Hosted by the leading chefs of the area, the event features three days of workshops, LiveCooking demonstrations, meetings, tastings, and more. A three-star pâtisserie competition featuring Maxime Frédéric from the Hotel Cheval Blanc in Paris will decide on the best tarte tropézienne. The event also presents an opportunity to meet the chefs who keep the Provençal culinary tradition alive in the restaurants of Saint-Tropez.
The Provençal culinary tradition is well worthy of preservation, but it should also be continually reinvented. Our chefs owe a lot to the producers and artisans who work daily and throughout the year to provide the tastiest of foodstuffs. An exciting and bountiful event featuring them is an idea whose time has come!
